We visited Santa on November 6th.
Ok, so I got blasted on facebook that this was just too early., But But... But... Santa was visiting a craft fair in my area at my friend's son's catholic school and it was a nice low key setting to take the kids as opposed to stressful and overwhelming Mall Santa.
Alex sat on Santa's lap and rattled off a very specific laundry list of gifts that he really wanted including movie titles, date of release and the studio that produced to them. I think Santa was a bit overwhelmed by how specific he was. I just smiled and explained to the elf that Alex was autistic and Santa gave me a very knowing nod and let Alex prattle on for a few minutes.
Isabelle, on the other hand - surprised me. She is definitely the kid who sees a commercial and says "I want that", "I want that", " I want that". She knows what she likes and doesn't like. Santa asked her what she wanted and she responded : "Ya know... Um... Toys". And gave him "the look". Santa didn't quite know what to make of it. Me, I'm just happy to have survived another year where both kids sat quietly on Santa's lap without tears.
For a trip down memory lane: last year's santa picture is here
