Jett Travolta - a tragic death of a child who was quite possibly autistic

Jett Travolta, son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston passed away. He was only 16 years old.

So So tragic.

I don't know what upsets me more..the thought of a child dying or the very good possibility that this child had autism that his parents in effect covered up, hid, or refused to acknowledge/treat accordingly.

I grew up worshipping John Travolta... Grease and all those fun movies he was in.

And then, shortly after my son was diagnosed with autism I started to learn about various celebrities who had special needs children, specifically autistic children. John Travolta was one of them, and not one of them at the same time. Many people suspected that Jett had autism but Travolta and Preston said it was Kawasaki Syndrome that he got from floor cleaners. Their Scientology beliefs didn't recognize Autism. His brother Joey Travolta, on the other hand, he produced a movie about Autism called Normal People Scare Me and even ran an Autism Social Skills camp. Polar Opposite, it seems.

In 2006, Holywood & the ASA plead to Travolta to open up his eyes and heart to Jett's autism.

Here's a video in which Jett can be witnessed rocking and stimming, many say he "looks autistic" in this video.

Jett had seizures, also quite common for those on the autism spectrum and with a higher incidence after puberty.

And now, he is dead. I am so sorry, Jett.
