Model Me Kids: Autism Holiday Giveaway - My Favorite Teacher
A good teacher makes all the difference in the world. Boy, isn't that the truth! My son has had good fortune in our school district and has had some really amazing teachers, para-professionals, and therapists. We did have one incident of a not so good teacher, and that really made me wake up and appreciate even more the hard work that our teachers do. This year, my son's teacher is amazing. She "gets" him. She's tough yet approachable, a winning combination for Alex. I've nominated her to win a set of DVDs from Model Me Kids which are geared toward social skills. Social Skills is most definitely the one area where I see my school district lacking in. We make up for that by keeping Alex busy with lots of extra activities like Brick Challenger, POAC, and SEPTA events. Still, I would LOVE to see more social skills activities and teaching in the classroom!

Model Me Kids sells social skills DVDs on many many topics. Excellent for home use, school, and therapy. Consider getting one for gift this holiday season for your child, or your child's class.
