New Jersey mandates more vaccines for kids than any other place in the world. This is not what NJ should be famous for! This is a crime against our children. We are the Vaccine State! NJ also has an extremely high rate of Autism at 1 in 94 kids. They are now mandating the flu shot in NJ for all preschool age children attending daycare/preschools and additional shots for elementary school age kids.

I just don't get it. Why, why, why do they think we need all these vaccinations?!?! Even if you think it doesn't cause autism and other neurological problems (which I also don't understand. I mean there is mounting evidence) why would people think it is good to pump these chemicals into kids. Shouldn't this be reserved for really severe diseases? Here is Illinois, kids have to be vaccinated for chicken pox. Why can't my kid just get the damn chicken px like I did? I just don't get it.

Also the flu vaccine for kids over 3 contains thermisol. Which is why Devin got his flu shot October 3 being he was still 2 and not 3 as he would've been on October 4th.
This makes me angry. I understand things like polio being mandated but things are getting out of control. Not everything needs to be dictated. When that happens it feels a lot less like we live in a democracy.
I have waived some vaccines by having titer tests to prove immunity. If the test shows your child is immune, you don't need the vax. If your child is going for yearly blood work anyway, it's just another vial or two. No harm done. Unfortunately, there is a ton of money to be made from vaccinations so titer tests are almost never offered.
ahhh vaccines... I am still torn on the subject. My kids are current on immunizations, but I am leery and suspicious. Why? Because vaccines are created by drug companies who then try and get the gov't to mandate them. If I am wrong, please tell me. But they are NOT impartial!!!! I just wonder- it can't be great for your body, especially a little one, to load it up with so much foreign stuff, especially all at once!!!

You are right to trust your gut and feel suspicious. There's too many hands connected with vaccines - the govt is mandating them, and hold stake in the pharmaceuticals - not impartial.

We are a no-vax family...so I always love reading new facts and info on the vaccine industry.
