I'm a guest author today at Bella Online - Autism Spectrum Disorders site with an article that I wrote about Alex using the Wii and how much it has helped him .

Read the experience of one family who has achieved success with the Nintendo Wii and their 7 year old son on the autism spectrum.
Also put 2 quick videos up on YouTube

My 5-year-old with autism also loves the Wii. I think it's done tremendous things for his hand/eye coordination.
Great Article!
I know I could name programs that cost 100x as much and wouldn’t give you those results. I love that this is a game that "all the kids are playing" putting Alex on equal footing with NT peers.
I wonder if the schools would consider using this. Or do we need to get a study done so it can be deemed "research based" :0)
Great article! My daughter, has ASD, age 6 also loves it! We also like Cooking with Mama!
Loved the article, and the video clips! The wii has been helpful for our boys too. Cuddlebug likes the boxing game, it wears everyone else out but he can just keep going and going... Bearhug likes golf. And of course all the racing games :).
That's so cool that your son was able to handle bowling in real life after playing it on the wii!
