Jersey Girls Wear Flip Flops...

So, Belle.. the only born and bred "Jersey Girl" in the family seems to have adopted a love for all things.. flip flops. Ok, maybe it is all things shoes - but especially flip flops are her favorite.
A friend of mine has a bumper sticker that says "Jersey Girls Wear Flip Flops in the Snow". Somehow I think that if my darling daughter could get away with that, she would. Apparently Flip Flops are official footwear here on the Jersey Shore. According to the NS Jersey dividing line debate, your use of flip flops even can determine which side of the divide from which you hail. I find the entire thing all too amusing.

Today our little "Jersey Girl" (yeah, ok) insisted on getting a brand new pair of flip flops with heels on them instead of flats. Yes, the 3 year old knows the difference.

So this is what I can look forward to? Already Sue (who just turned 3) insists on choosing her own clothes and shoes. She does have one pair of "light-up" heels but she truly can't walk in them so she just plays with them...I suppose that will change here in a few weeks!
