They are the Surfers who volunteer their time and create magical memories for children with autism and their families. They are Surfers Healing.
My son has had this magical surfing experience 3 times now.
His first experience was at the tender age of four years old on the beaches of Sandy Hook, NJ on September 11th, 2005. I wrote about it here
A year later, at 5 years old he attended the Surfers Healing free one day surf camp again when they came back to the Jersey Shore, this time to Long Branch, NJ.
And just this past weekend, September 9th 2007 - now a wild six year old he rode the waves again.
Thank you Surfers Healing. Words cannot express the smiles and magic you create for children and families with autism.
